Chesa Marchetta is easily reached. International guests arrive via Zurich or Milan, both offering rail and road connections into the Upper Engadin. From Zurich, the journey unfolds by train through Alpine landscapes, while Milan provides a striking southern approach across mountain passes. From St Moritz, the final leg to Sils Maria is a short, scenic drive or bus ride along lakes and forests.
Transport
Taxi
Taxi services are available from nearby towns and transport hubs, including St. Moritz and Samedan Airport. This can be a convenient option if you prefer a direct transfer without driving, especially during winter months.
Train
The closest major railway station is St. Moritz, which is well connected to the Swiss rail network via Chur and Zurich. From St. Moritz, Sils Maria is approximately a 20 minute drive.
By car
If you are traveling by car, Sils Maria is easily accessible. From Zurich, the drive takes around 3 hours via the A3 and Route 3 through the scenic Julier Pass. From Milan, the journey is approximately 2.5 hours via the Maloja Pass.
Parking
Hotel guests
We have reserved parking spaces for hotel guests in the Parkhaus Sils / Val Fex parking garage located at the entrance to the village. Please come to the hotel on arrival to pick up your car parking pass.
Restaurant & bar visitors
For restaurant visitors, several paid and free parking options are available in Sils, although many are time-limited or can fill up quickly. We recommend allowing a little extra time to find parking, especially during busy periods.
Finding us
Once you arrive in Sils Maria, Chesa Marchetta is located within walking distance of the village center. Due to the historic layout of the village, some streets may have limited vehicle access, so you may need to park nearby and walk the final short distance.
