Opening Hours
The hotel and restaurant are currently closed; we will reopen for the summer season from 11th June until 1st November.
The restaurant makes its home in the old cattle barns, furnished with traditional Alpine furniture and tapestries. Open daily for breakfast for guests, and for dinner for both guests and non-residents, our restaurant serves uncomplicated and traditional dishes led by our head chef, Davide Degiovanni.
Chesa Marchetta offers a small, seasonal menu that channels Northern Italian and Swiss mountain traditions with a variety of daily changing specials.
Taking inspiration from Maria and Christina Godly’s famous and traditional use of seasonal ingredients, we work with the best local producers in the Engadin and neighbouring valleys to produce uncomplicated, traditional home-cooked dishes.
Our wine selection at Chesa Marchetta showcases a thoughtful selection of wines that reveals both the art of winemaking and presence of nature in the glass.
We respect that the best winemakers work harmoniously in the vineyard, crafting wines of character with a sense of place that differentiates them from others. We champion great local wines alongside a particular focus on Italian and French classics.
In the restaurant, find landmark works from influential artists including Alberto Giacometti’s ‘L’Atelier de Stampa: “Tête de Diego sur socle” enveloppée dans un linge’ (1956) and ‘Sculptures et bol dans l’atelier.’ These are shown alongside Philip Guston’s ‘Stone Wall’ (1971) and works by Wolf Traut and Adriaen van Ostade.
